How to Go From 15,000 to 100,000 Euros A Month

In this article, I am going to talk about an entrepreneur I have coached for the last six or seven years who was able to grow his business from making €15,000 to €108,000 a month.

This gentleman had always been comfortable with the performance of his business. He found a comfort zone in the €150,000-180,000 per year level. He enjoyed still being able to work alone had have his own sporadic schedule, while still making enough to support his family.

Reaching Your Potential

When he joined my program, called Bar Raisers, during the intake I did with him, I asked him, “What’s the potential of your business?” To that, he told me his goal was to earn €1,000,000 per year. He told me, “I know it’s in me and I can do it. Right now, I do things whenever I want to, but I know there’s more potential there and I want to really stretch myself and grow the business.”

That’s what we do at Bar Raisers, we stretch ourselves in a healthy way by making commitments to each other and following through. During the events we do, we make decisions about our plans for the next six or seven weeks and we hold each other accountable. His idea was to increase his mailing list to include 2,500 more people – that would have bumped his total mailing list from 7,500 to 10,000 members.

So he made this commitment and it was going really well. He had advertised on Facebook and was gaining more members. With Facebook, whenever your balance reaches 600 Euros, they take that amount from your bank account. His mailing list was growing, but his funds were depleting by doing this.

Connective Selling

One evening, I organized an event for Bar Raisers in which I would teach the entrepreneurs how to make one on one sales. So he came that evening, March 23rd, and I simply laid out the script that we use. With this script, people learn how to make sales but also raise their prices. We call the technique we use “connective selling”.

The day of this meeting was one of his worst days of the year because he had made this commitment to grow his mailing list, had invested a lot of money in it, and had seen his bank account dry up as a result. He was stressed out, but he still came to the event that evening. He was kind of hesitant at first, but he committed himself to take action on whatever he learned that evening.

Within one month of this event, he made €108,000 in one month. He added almost €100,000 of monthly revenue simply by adding this technique to his business. This was inspiring for me to hear, but for him, it was a total game changer. He was able to raise his prices tenfold in certain areas of his business. He now had better customers, more money, and more freedom.

Now, the challenge was to keep it up. He wants to grow his business to €1,000,000 per year and he was on his way after this month. But he can’t think, “Oh, I’m going to chill now because I made €108,000.” No, he needed to think about what was next and how he could exceed those numbers next month.

Repetitive Success Equals Freedom

Think of it like this, anybody can eat a healthy meal, but just having one healthy meal in your life doesn’t make you healthy. It takes a continued commitment to eating healthy meals in order to lead a healthy lifestyle. Similarly, having one great month in your business won’t make you wealthy.

Once you’ve had some success, you need to keep going until you’ve repeated that success for several months in a row. At that point, the continued success becomes your standard. Think of it like this, anybody can eat a healthy meal, but just having one healthy meal in your life doesn’t make you healthy. It takes a continued commitment to eating healthy meals in order to lead a healthy lifestyle. Similarly, having one great month in your business won’t make you wealthy.

If you’ve worked hard for several months and you’re up around 120,000 to 130,000 Euros each time, when you have a bad month, you’re not going to plummet down to 10,000 Euros a month. Instead, a bad month might be 70,000 to 80,000, which is still much more than you were making previously. Keep working hard to grow your business until the amount of money you want to make in a month becomes the standard. You won’t win the war in just one month.

To me, absolute freedom is having the ability to run your business without being totally dependent on the money that is always flowing in and out. When you need money right away, you tend to make shortsighted decisions that do not work out as well in the end. However, when you do not need the money right away, you’ll be able to make better decisions for your business.
